I have a power lock problem when only using the key fobs. I changed the batteries in both my key fobs and I am still not getting good reactions corresponding with the key fobs. All locks work fine while operating system from the driver door panel switches. Since both key fobs do not want to work precisely what they are supposed to do, even after I changed the batteries in both of them. Is there a brain box that works with the system which is usually the suspect of the problem? How does the key-less entry system work on this factory equipped system?

Hello,

It sounds like a fuse is out. Here are the alarm wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works and a guide to help you check the fuses along with the fuse locations:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

You can see the fuses that need to be checked by the wiring diagrams.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

I changed the door actuator with an OEM one because someone bypassed it with a universal one and cut the cable to the door lock. Had to buy a new cable to the button from dealer and actuator was off eBay.

All back to original parts and functionality. They chopped it up because too lazy to buy a new original OEM lock actuator.

Hello,

Well it happens. I've seen many hacks and people who just want to save $5.00. Now days people go online and order parts from eBay or Amazon to save money and bring me the parts to install only to have them order the wrong application/model/engine size. Believe me I've seen it all. Glad we could help and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
