After following your sterling advice, I swapped out the GEM module (junkyard) to get interior lighting working again. However, remote does not work anymore.I tried changing battery, and "reprogramming" (8 key turns)
By changing GEM have I lost ability to remotely open door locks? I'm not sure if there is a fuse for this feature.
Any advice would help. Thanks for your reply

If you tried to reprogram your remote and doesn't work then you'll have to have a pro do it for you with his scanner. You only should have to one remote then others you should be able to program

Hi
As it turns out, "reprogramming" the fob DID work. After "8 turns to run, "I had to to keep key in cylinder, (in run position) while pressing the fob keys, before removing key from car. It worked!
Thanks for your input
