I barely turned the handle and the jack released more quickly than I would have liked. This ones not mine so and not used to this quick drop. Anyway, I got two jack stands as shown. It wasn't extremely aggressive of a drop at all just a few inches maybe but I wasn't fond of the noise and I'm just anal in general.

Just wondering could this have messed up my car or am I all good? I just got an alignment is it possible it got messed up at all? Or did these metal beams that the jack are under take all the force? Thank you

You have the jack stands under the frame rail. Those are really tough and they don't care about being dropped a few inches. The suspension parts, especially those involved with the alignment, did not suffer any stress as they are hanging freely by the frame and are spring-loaded and free to move around to absorb any shock.

It's gratifying to know you understand the importance of jack stands. Failure to use them is a short-cut not worth taking.
