My car lost power so I changed the battery and alternator, then once after the new alternator was in the car about 6 hours later it blew up. The second alternator did the same thing after half a day. I don't want to buy another one before I find out the problem. I checked the wires going to the car, to the alternator everything looks good. I found water inside the left rear light, the wires were wet. I don't know if its that. What else could it be? It's been 2 weeks and I don't have a car. PLEASE HELP!

Check to see how much voltage it is putting out, check the double arrow wire to see if it is touching ground or engine and ground wire to see if it's corroded. The voltage regulator is in the alternator so if they are replacing alternator it's not that, unless it's over/under charging which could be the problem or wire touching. Also check red wire for resistance to fuse block if more than o-5 ohms replace it.
