Red parking brake letters?

Engine light came on. ABS light. Parking light. Says parking brake, see Operators manual in red. Steering became stiff suddenly. All lights turned off once and steering was normal. They came back on, and the steering is stiff. Says parking brake. Even though it's not engaged. Says ABS and picture of car with slick strips on too.

That is a good one, it sounds like the electric power steering is going out or the spiral wire (clock spring) behind the steering wheel has a bad connection and the car goes into limp mode, the best thing to do at this point is a CAN scan which is easy to do. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
