Red security light on dash and nothing else?

The red security light is on my dash. The truck runs fine but nothing on the dash works. Headlights are on all time switch doesn't respond. No brake lights, blinkers or hazards. Has a new front control module batt cables ignition switch fuse box. I'm at a loss.

Yep, I have seen this problem before, the instrument cluster needs to be replaced/rebuilt. The lighting system you have motioned go through the cluster. You can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Let us know how it goes.

The cluster can control all these different functions? And is there a way to test the cluster?

Sure, you can test the input and outputs of the cluster, here is a guide to help you and the wiring diagrams for the headlamps and exterior lights.

Can you tell what the this black box on the back of the cluster is? When you go to buy a new one most don't come with this.

Looked it up says it's for remote keyless entry... got a new cluster on the way.
