So my Buick envision 2020 low and high beams went out randomly while driving both sides. the fogs lights still work. I did check some things like the fuses and relays k13 was hot hot and k12 was hot when I switched the light switch to fully on and left it like that for a minute with high beams on, I don’t know if that’s why k13 was burning, I did disconnect the negative cable from the battery for 15 minutes to drain the rest of the circuit in the car (Ai told me to try that to reset the computer or something)

They can go out for various reasons like ..
Bad head lamp
relay
Bad fuses
Bad connections
Bad monitors/controlle
Or Bad ground or just a plain old blown out bulb depends alot on how they go out if its abrupt like someone just flicked a switch off then its eelectrical like ablown fuse
Other times it will show signs of it going out like intermittent flickering wich can be a rusty or wet bulb socket or water got in somewhere or a loose ground wire ..and theres many more scenarios that can accure...most of the time it can be figured out pretty quick and simply but somtimes can be a real headache so we try and check the simplest things first like some of the things I mentioned above like blown bulb or fuses loose corroded or broken wires dirty plugs Bad relays those are always good place to start... hope this helps good luck let us know what you find .
