The rear window latch will not release the rear window and allow it to lift.
The rear door latch does work and locks and unlocks appropriately.

I put direct power to the solenoid side and it works. I ohm out the switch side (normally open) and the switch shorts or closes.

Hello,
Let's start by checking for power at fuse # 8 and #12. here is a guide to help you check for power and the fuse locations with the wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works:
Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

The fuses are good. But using the diagrams you sent I cannot tell where the four wires are for the rear window latch. It looks like (but not sure) two of the wires are about in the middle of the first diagram (Lift-gate Flip up push button switch) but since it says Lift-gate I do not know of it is specifically for the rear window lift. Nor can I see or find the other two wires for the connection on the other side of the window latch.

Yes, you are right can you see the lift-gate motor has a cut out switch that won't allow the window part to work unless the motor has closed the switch? Bottom right of the second diagram.

Thank you Ken. The diagrams were very helpful. I'm sorry I took so long to reply but I had to order a part and wanted to make sure it fixed the problem prior to replying.

Yes and it now works. It was the relay inside the rear door latch lock mechanism. It would not allow the 12vdc to pass through to the rear window latch switch.
