rear wheel locked up

I cannot find any information on that vehicle.

So that makes it difficult to see what kind of things might be involved.

In general. I would remove the wheel, inspect the brakes and inspect the wheel bearings.

Just to show you an easy fix I experienced with a Dodge Neon, the passenger rear wheel was locked up. Beings that it is front wheel drive, I drove (and dragged the rear wheel) out of the grass and onto the driveway. (see the drag marks in my pictures)

I removed the rear drum (it has drum brakes on the rear) and discovered the "glued on" brake lining had come loose, slid around and was now binding up.

No damage was done and replacing the shoes (on both sides) was an easy fix.

This may not be your problem. Let us know what you do find!

The problem was that we needed a new calliper and rotor on that side also changed the brake pad.

Glad to hear it wasn't too severe!

Always change your pads as sets.
