I replaced the bulb because the car display was showing to "check left rear turn signal" - realized it wasn't flashing. After replacing the bulb no change. I am trying to find which fuse (either interior or under the hood) is the correct one to replace in the case that that is where the problem is coming from. Tried using this: https://fuse-box.info/volkswagen/volkswagen-tiguan-2008-2017-fuses-and-relay#Instrument_Panel
to find it on the diagram but it doesn't list rear turn signal.

Basically, this message tells you that the command is there from the module to turn the signal on, but it is not sensing that the circuit is complete. This normally means then the bulb is blown.

However, if you have changed the bulb and it is still saying it then we need to check the voltage on this circuit and see if the module is actually sending it as it could be a module issue or the ground but if the turn signal is the only thing not working then the ground is fine.

So, I would suggest we need to start with this and find out if there is a signal to turn the light on and go from there.

Let me know what questions you have on this.

Thanks
