There is so sealer that will work to stop a leak like this.
The seal needs to be replaced.

CAUTION: When removing the oil pans, oil pump assembly and timing chain from engine, first remove the crankshaft Position Sensor (POS) from the assembly. Be careful not to damage sensor edges.
REAR OIL SEAL
1. Remove transaxle.
2. Remove drive plate.
3. Remove oil pan.
4. Remove rear oil seal retainer.

Use seal cutter (SST) or an equivalent tool to cut liquid gasket for removal.
5. Remove old liquid gasket on mating surface of cylinder block and oil pan using scraper.
Remove old liquid gasket from the bolt hole and thread.

6. Apply liquid gasket to rear oil seal retainer.
Use Genuine RTV Silicone Sealant or equivalent.
Assembly should be done within 5 minutes after coating.
Wait at least 30 minutes before refilling engine oil and engine coolant.
