Rear lower control arm

Wife drove off edge of driveway and bent just the rear lower control arm is it straight up removing both end and replacing, with a alignment after, or is there a hitch?

There are two rear lower control arms on each side, and both have rubber bushings on each end. Once you have the new arm installed, do not tighten the bolts until the vehicle is sitting on the tires and at normal ride height. If you tighten the bolts while the car is jacked up and the suspension system is hanging down, the bushings will be clamped in a permanent twist. That will greatly shorten their life.

Hello,

There is an alignment bolt that must be marked and put back in the same place and you should be okay.

Here is a guide and some diagrams (below) that will help you get an idea on what you are in for when doing the job.

You will need to use a jack to lower the tension from the arm.

Yep, that is the rear arm in the diagrams for an all wheel drive car. Yours will be similar.
