Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.
The first thing we need to do is get the door open so we can inspect things. There is a manual release in the event of failure. Follow these directions:
MANUAL RELEASE OF AN INOPERATIVE POWER LIFT-GATE LATCH
NOTE: The lift-gate may be opened manually by raising the latch release lever in the event the power litigate latch assembly becomes inoperative. If the latch assembly becomes stuck during a cinch command the cinch function may be overridden by raising the cinch override lever.
1. Remove the access door from the middle of the lower lift-gate trim panel.
2. Working through the lower trim panel opening, locate the release lever and pull upward to release the power lift-gate latch.

If that does not work, then the rear trim panel will need removed which isn't easy when closed. If the manual over ride does not work, the latch assembly is most likely damaged. Once the trim is removed, you will need to unbolt the latch to open the hatch and replace the latch.

Let me know if it opens for you.
