Rear hatch handle broke, cant open door

The handle broke on the rear hatch and I don't know how to get it open there is no way to open it from inside. I have tried messing with it and have gotten the rear window to open but still don't know what to pull to open the actual hatch, please help.

You would need to try to emulate the handle by using a screwdriver or something to get to the latch opener within the door panel.
If it is not possible, you would need to remove the inner panel/trim, which might require some forcing to get off.
