Good morning,

Are you replacing the internals of the differential or the entire housing?

Okay, you are going to need a full set of tools.

You will need a set of 1/2 drive sockets both deep and shallow.

You will need 3 and 6 inch extensions as well.

A 1/2 air gun that can loosen bolts as tight as 200 pounds.

3/8 sockets. Deep and shallow. Long handled ratchet with extensions.

Wrenches. Combination wrenches from 5/16 to 1 inch.

Line wrenches for the brake lines.

Screwdrivers, pliers and vice grips.

A floor jack, jack stands and something to support the differential when dropping and installing.

There is a lot to this project.

Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
