Hi,
In the pic you attached, I'm not sure if you are referring to the coil spring, a broken shock, the bumper, or something different. See the pics below for part names.
Now, it appears the shock itself has come off or broken off or has come apart. Before we get started, you really need to be careful when you are working with a coil spring. When they are no longer held in, they can shoot out with a lot of force. Since this is a strut assembly, you will need a spring compressor. Most parts stores will lend one to you.
Next, here is what I'm going to recommend. To avoid possible injury and to make your life a lot easier, you can get the entire strut assembly on rockauto.com for under 60.00 each. The shocks and coils will be much more individual. I attached pics below. If you get those, everything is together and all you need to do is unbolt the old and install the new. Otherwise, you will need to dismantle the strut assembly.
Also, I strongly recommend replacing both left and right at the same time. Otherwise, handling will be affected.
I attached the directions below and pics for replacing them. Let me know if they help and if you have questions. Note: The directions are for disassembling the ones you have. Starting with picture 8 are the removal and installation directions for the assembly. These will need to be completed regardless of if you want to replace the assembly (recommended) or fix what you have. Also, 2carpros.com has no affiliation with Rockauto. I don't want you to think I'm trying to sell something.

I don't know why every time I take a picture of what I need to show you all and it's goes sideways but if you turn your phone to the right it's showing the rear end suspension part which I need a diagram so I can change out that part.
