Rear drum brakes

After finishing all parts on the rear brakes of my car I am not able to slip on the drum back over the whole assembly.

make sure parking brake lever is installed in shoes all the way and tap lining with hammer handle to make sure they are squared and centered then try.

Also make sure you have backed off the adjuster from its previous extended position.
