Okay, so another question I need help with on rear drum brakes. I’ve been searching for rear drum brakes and I wanted to get a good set with some corrosion protection on it, when I am shopping for them on every site there is all the ones with protectant on it say they are set with the Sebring 2 door coupe I have a 4 door and the only 4 door ones are the basic non coated ones. Now if I have to I will just buy the basic ones that are labeled for the sedan but are the coupe rear drum brakes the same as the sedan ones? If so I could just buy the nicer coated ones for the sedan, I checked measurements on the size of the drums and they seem to be the same size for the most part but sometimes don’t look the same. I could just use a pro perspective as I am always learning and enjoy working on cars. Thanks for your time guys!

Hi,

They are two different drums. The coupe used a Mitsubishi style drum and the sedan used an American type.

Here are the OEM part numbers:

Sedan
4779286AA

Coupe
MB895659

Honestly, they are not interchangeable.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Joe
