When I try to manually open it, I can hear the latch unlock but relock and draw the door closed when I try to manually life the rear door.

This could be the result of a couple of things. First, are you able to make it work correctly from inside the vehicle? Is it only the FOB that is not working?
I ask because there is a liftgate module and a full-open switch in the circuit. The problem could come from either of the two.
Do me a favor if possible. What I would like you to have done is the scanning of the can-bus circuit. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the different modules are tied together via a few wires. In this case, the liftgate module is my focus. This type of scan will identify codes regardless of the module storing them.

Let me know if that is something you can do or have done. Also, let me know if the door only malfunctions using the fob.
