Hello!

As described in the subject line, the problem is the tailgate actuator not responding. However, when I picked it out and tested it with current directly onto the upper contact, the actuator worked just fine. I have checked all the connections I can find in the rear door, and they all seems to be ok for dirt and corrotion. It is a complete mystery to me -does the rear tailgate actuator have its own fuse?

Furthermore I cannot find any fuse for the centrallocking system at all.

What can the problem be?

It sound like the smart entry control module is not working. Here is its location I would check the electrical connectors for corrosion and make sure the unit does not have water damage. The module is behind the instrument cluster and can get rain from the windshield on it.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Cheers

Th central locking system has failed leaving me to open drivers door with key. Also since then found dogs had chewed cable to trailer socket.A few lights are staying onin dash. And when indicating, the horn faintly beeps on/off with indicators. Theres also a faint dooropen light staying on. Is there any way of manually opening doors as something could be jammed.
Also wheres the electronic control unit and fuse for doors to be found.
Your advice would be very much appreciated.

Pic attached, for fuses. Fix the harness in back as that may effect all lights as well as h orn and check for bad fuses. Isn't there a key for driver's door? Not real familiar with nissan. The keyless receiver is behind right side of dash also try replacing battery or use a different key fob. Check ground on engine an dbattery to body to try tocorrect other problems otherwise have apro look at it.

Alarm went off in car and noticed the remote wasn't working anymore. Tried 2 new batteries and worked for a bit but no longer than 1 day. I can lock doors manually but cannot lock boot. Is there a button somewhere inside that I can lock boot? I'm guessing the whole remote has died and need to get a new one.

Lock boot? Please explain. Are there any other issues with this vehicle? Such as the radio, shifting or lighting problems?

The grease is the problem here, wash out the locks with degrease or brake clean, dry with compressed air and lube all locks with powered graphite, you should be able to get this from hardware stores or locksmiths.
