How do I get the electronic brakes to disengage?

The rear brakes have the electronic brake system attached to the rear caliper and they do not retract.

Hi,
You need a scan tool that can communicate with the vehicle. I have no idea why they need to make things this way. LOL
I attached the directions below for replacing the pads. Let me know if they help.
