Rear brake pad and rotor replacement?

Can I retract the caliper piston without removing the e-brake motor from the caliper?

You are going to need to connect the HDS to the DLC to put the car in service mode which will deactivate the parking brake feature. After that you will need to remove the actuator motor to help reset the caliper, here are the instructions on how to replace the rear brake pads and rotors. Check out the images (below).
