I have been dealing with this issue for close to a year now, mostly because my local dealership's service department is a nightmare.

Basically, the subject says it all, when I put the transmission in reverse my display will be just an all-blue screen. I live in Florida, and it is warm/hot most of the year. Oddly enough when the weather is cooler the camera will work just fine. So, it’s a 100% failure rate all summer and it works most of the time in the winter. What prompted me to post on this site is today is the first “cool” day of the season and my camera is finally back! For reference, the weather is in the 60’s in the morning, and it will work up until the lower 70’s.

I found an inexpensive camera replacement on Amazon, but something tells me the actual camera is fine, since it works sometimes. It might be something else I’m not considering and I’m hoping to get so insight here. Thank you so much in advance!

I have seen the camera cause this issue and the problem is common. I would get the camera from Ford, so it plugs right in, here is how to change it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
