I hit a pothole every since i have been hearing a rattling sound when I step on the gas. The mechanic check the car and thought it was a rod that needed to be replace. The rod was replace the sound is still there then the mechanic stated it was the axle on the left wheel that was replace the sound was still there, now the mechanic is stating that it is the transmission, I just had a new transmission put in the car in April 2013. Can you share some advice

I would be getting a second opinion this will have to be checked first hand, but i do feel that it will be a suspension problem and not a transmission one, i feel that the first mechanic is only guessing.
