When driving on a bumpy road I hear this distinct rattling noise but if I gently apply the brake pedal while still moving the noise stops. If I release the pedal it continues. Shops have done a visual inspection and saw nothing loose. Please advise of what this possibly could be.

Hi,

If you apply the brakes and the noise stops, it sounds brake-related. If you look at the pic below, I circled a caliper pad spring. Make sure they are all present, fully attached, and not broken.

Let me know what you find.

Hi,

That pic is a Mercedes front caliper, but I'm not sure what model you have. I know it's a GLK, but is it a 250 Bluetec, a 350, or a 350 4matic?

Let me know.
