My car rattles and moans when I accelerate and feels like the engine is slipping sometimes. I am worried because my timing chain was replaced at 32,000 miles.

Hi,

I'm not sure why it was replaced, but at 32,000, it wasn't a maintenance issue. Please explain.

Can you tell approximately where the sound is coming from? Does it seem like it is under the hood ,under the car, and so on? Also, is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?

As far as the noise you hear, do me a favor. Take a rubber mallet and tap on the exhaust to make sure it isn't a heat shield or something on the exhaust.

Let me know.

Take care,
Joe

It feels like it's under my feet. Now it is jerking forward when I am stopped and have my foot on the brake.

Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can hear the noise? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.
