Just a few weeks ago around the time the weather started to get hot, truck will randomly stall. Only seems to be when it is warmed up. There is no consistency in the stalling, could be at highway speeds just cruising, or while accelerating or slowing down, and also at idle. Usually takes a long crank to get it to start after stalling, maybe two or three five to ten second cranks. Only slight power loss on the front fuel tank at slight throttle, not enough to have any issues getting up to speed in traffic. Back fuel pump is bad and has been for awhile, have not been able to get my hands on a fuel pressure gauge yet due to lack of money after bills and all. So just wondering if anyone may have heard of the problem and may be able to single it down a little or know if it is fuel or a overheating sensor maybe? Considering the lack of tools. Thank you.

I have seen this problem on these trucks the switching valve for the tanks going bad causing the engine to stall I would change the fuel filter fist though. Here is a diagram to show you what you are in for when changing the filter out. If you are short on funds you can bypass the valve and just use the one tank should be okay.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

So have not had a chance to get down there an look around, but was able to rent a fuel pressure gauge and ran a test tonight, was able to get any fuel pressure, did not go through the work after that of starting it, since I know it runs, and want to deal with the no fuel pressure with engine off key on first, but have not had time to crawl under to check fuel filter and the selector, as its been too dark outside by the time I have a chance to.

Okay, it still sounds like the switching valve to me. They had big problems with them. Ford has them in stock.
