The can killed and wont start even after putting 5 quarts of oil. Is there such a thing that cars wont start to protect engine damage when the engine does not have oil, or is the engine no good anymore?

if it is cooled down and wont start or turn over it's probably seized. normally it has an oil pressure switch when it loses preossure it stops running. see if it will turnover by hand
