Ran out of gas, added gas and fired right up and drove about ten miles. Then it quit running like it was out again. Starts up then roughly shuts off. Did this all day. I changed fuel filter I get gas all the way to the fuel rail at the fuel pressure nozzle on rail when I push it in gas flows big time steady stream. Made sure on both in and out fuel lines to filter were getting gas. For sure big time. I hear the pump running great when key is on. I put more gas and injector cleaner in and still the same thing. Fired right up rpm jumps to little over 1 on start up the chokes it way to shut off. Every single time.

Good morning.

I would start by checking the actual pressure. You need a specific pressure for it to run correctly. You may have pressure at the rail but it may not be the pressure required.

Running out of fuel damages the pump. It is like running an engine without oil. Fuel is the lube for the pump and keeps it cool as well.

The spec is 55-62 lbs, key on engine off.

Okay, then the pressure is constant while it is having the issue? If it is, it could be dirt got pulled up from the tank and may be up at the injectors. They have screens at there input for dirt.
