Van will not start after running out of gas

There is no bleeding the fuel lines. It does that on its own.

when you run out of fuel, it damages the pump motor. Chances are the fuel pump itself has failed and needs to be replaced. The fuel is a lubricant to the pump just as oil is to an engine. Running it with gas is like running an engine without oil.

I have never heard it run before on this van. It was extremely quiet before this happened. And now of course when simply switch it on to try and listen the ignition bell is ringing so loud that it I can't. My F250 was the same way, I had to have my Dad switch it on while I listened from underneath. I believe that you could be right because when I attempted to crank it was spinning over super fast but I never heard it fire.

Back running. Ignition sensor went off when it ran out of gas. Cleared the code with loaner from Advance Auto and magically it turned on immediately. The guy said that this code goes off immediately to cut power to the pump to prevent damage to the pump. Thanks

Never heard of that happening.

There is no ignition sensor.
