Radio swap

I have the vehicle listed above sedan with the basic radio. I found another Versa sedan, same year, at an auto salvage lot. I was wondering if I’d be able to swap out my basic radio for the nicer radio with a screen and navigation simply? Or if there are more steps that would need to be taken in order to do this properly? Can I just pull them both out and swap them or do I need to rewire in order for it to work properly?

Hi Truckowskic21, my name is Alex and I will be helping you today. The good news is from your pictures, thank you for including them, both stereos are double din setups, so it should fit in perfectly. I suggest cutting the wiring out with the stereo you are getting from the junkyard. I am away from my computer right now, but I will send wiring diagrams with instructions in an hour or so. Thank you! I’m just worried because I read of some people trying this but they were using radios from a Sentra into a Versa note, apparently everything is about a Versa note, which doesn’t really help me. My main concern is they all say they lose the ability to use their hands free calling when they take out the original radio, not sure if that’s because they use a radio from a Sentra or if it’s because the wiring is different, and some say it’s because the Bluetooth module is built into the nicer radio so you’d have to bypass (not sure what that means) the factory Bluetooth module. I’d like to not lose that if at all possible.

Hi Truskowskic21, here are the wiring diagrams for your base stereo and since there are two radio upgrades possible, I am also including the mid grade and premium stereo wiring diagrams for you. I hope this helps and please feel free to get a hold of me if you have many more questions.
