Radio not working properly after disconnecting and reconnecting the battery

After unhooking and hooking battery, can I only get audio when ignition key is in off position.

Clearly if the radio is acting up now that the battery is reconnected, we have to assume when it reboots that something did not load correctly.

It is unlikely that something was damaged when doing this, but we are going to have to try and do two things to restore the operation.

First, we need to remove the battery cables again and do what is called a capacitive discharge. This is when the cables are removed, you touch them together for 10 seconds.

Then you are going to want to clean the cables and posts so that we are sure to get a good connection.
