The battery went dead in my truck after sitting for a while. So when I go to charge it up weird things are happening with it. The radio display stays on even when the switch is off but no sounds and the dome light, windows, and locks do not work. I pulled the fuse for the radio now everything works again. What could be wrong?

It sounds like the radios power circuit had a failure. Likely a bad capacitor internal to the radio. If you reinstall the fuse does it go back to on and other items working?

After charging the battery fully and putting the fuse back in everything seems to be back to normal.

That would point to a bad cap, you pulling the fuse let it drain fully, when you inserted the fuse with the fully charged battery it "reformed" the capacitor and the radio works. It may keep working or it might fail. No real way to tell for sure without opening it up and hunting for a bad part. I would just be sure to keep it charged. If it will set a while a good automatic battery maintainer can save a lot of headaches.
