radio display not working

The display on the radio does not work but the outdoor temperature is still displayed.

Hi,

There is a chance the backlighting has failed in the radio. However, let's check a few things. First, is all interior lighting working in the vehicle? I ask because the radio illumination power is supplied by the interior lighting system.

If you look at pics 1 and 2, they show the wire color and pin identification at the radio to check for power. Note the wire is solid yellow.

Check that wire for power. There is a splice before the radio that may have failed and there is no power reaching the radio.

If there is power, suspect the bulb is bad.
