Hi I have a FJ cruiser and I just installed a 7” radio and now there is a space on the left and the right side of the radio compared to the original cover. I have tried finding radio dash kits for it however I am unable to find it. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you!

Trim out what you need.

If the radio is "sucked in" to the dash, you may have to trim it a little closer to the radio. A hair dryer or heat gun (careful with the heat) may help it settle into place if it's a little wavy.

Work it to suit!

You probably have two tries with the one notebook!

I've done this a few times with black notebooks on other vehicles.

Let me know what you think.

I hope it works out for you if you go that route.

Regardless of what you do, send us a picture of the finished product and let us know what actually did work for you!

In the long run, your fix might help someone else that might be searching 2carpros to make their own repair.

Yes definitely thanks! It’s actually a perfect fit up and down and it’s parallel with the cover but there is just a space in between the left and right. Is there another option by any chance?

I'll see if some of the other 2CarPros have any ideas.

There is an aftermarket company that makes radio dash pieces/harnesses/trim /adapters,etc called METRA. You can find them online.. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Check amazon and Ebay for the above referenced Metra kits. Otherwise you can go to a car audio retailer and check with them or maybe a custom car shop can fabricate something at a not horrible price.
