My wife burns her own cd's. But she put printed labels adhered w/ scotch tape on them. Well, one got stuck and she used forcepts to pull it out. After that, she lost audio. The unit stil comes on but there is no sound.I checked all fuses but they are good. Can you tell me what is going on?

CD and DVD players are very delicate. If a disc is forcibly removed you can be sure plastic parts got broken including levers that trip mechanical switches and slides that open windows for optical sensors. Some can't even withstand the normal vibration of shipping, Ford's 6-disc changers, in particular. Unfortunately GM decided it's in their best interest to stop allowing us to buy radio service manuals after the '94 model year so you are tied to the dealer and their two grossly over-priced repair centers. They will not bother to fix what is broken like we used to do. They will just stick in a new assembly. That guarantees it will work right but it costs a lot more.
