Hi, I have the vehicle listed above that has a parasitic draw. When I pull my stereo/amp fuse the draw goes away. I am wanting to know what all is involved in the wiring in this system. I had changed my amp already and it didn't make a difference.

Hi,

At that point, I would leave the fuse in and then disconnect the radio to see if that stops the draw.

I will be happy to provide wiring schematics to help, but I need to narrow things down. If you look at the attached pic, you'll see all the optional sound systems for this vehicle. Can you identify which yours is?

Let me know.

It is not the radio fuse but the radio/amp fuse.

Hi,

I need to know which schematics to look through to help identify where the problem could be coming from.

Let me know.

I am not sure but I think it is the premium sound with rear entertainment. I took out the radio and it didn't make a difference. The radio works and I get sound from it. Only I am getting this draw. When I pull the radio/amp fuse 30 amp. The draw goes away.

There is a video system circuit as well. It has a DVD player.

Hi,

I attached the wiring schematic for this system. I had to overlap them to make it readable.

The first thing I would do is disconnect the rear seat audio controller to see if that stops the draw. The radio fuse sends direct power to the radio and that controller. If the radio is off, it shouldn't be drawing, so that's why I suggested the controller. See what happens.

While I had the rear cover off I thought I would disconnect the amp on one side. That made the difference. Only now where to go from there? It was the left side I disconnected.

While I had the cover off I disconnected the amp on the left side as you are facing it. That made the difference.

Would it be possible to get the pin layout for the harness I described? I have 20 pins being used on this harness.

Take a look at the attached pics and let me know if they help. It doesn't show a connector, but does show what each wire is for.

Let me know.

You are focusing on the radio. I am focusing on the amplifier which has a separate power supply.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Here is the 2nd page of the radio-amplifier wiring diagram you requested. This is the amplifier wiring page for your truck. I've cut it into 3 pieces so you can view larger. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
