Radio not working?

Check the "cigarette" fuse in the I/P fuse block and the "dome" fuse, under the hood. Here is a guide to help you check for power and the fuse location with the diagrams below .

2003 Toyota Corolla

I was plugging in my navigation system into the little cigarette circle, when my adapter broke inside it. This caused the time to turn off and also the radio. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to fix the radio and time. Thank you.

You most likely blew a fuse. The radio is connected to a fused circuit that has power all the time, even with key off, to keep the clock and radio pre-sets in memory. If the radio is bad this video can help you install an aftermarket unit on a similar car.

Now that I know my radio and cigarette fuse is the same. my problem is my radio doesn't come on but my cigarette lighter works. what do I need to do?

Hello,

This could be a problem with the antenna not being plugged in or a problem with the ground. A lot of vehicle's use the antenna as a secondary grounding source for the radio and if it is not plugged in, it will not work. Also a good clean ground that is corrosion free and making good metal to metal contact is also vital as this accounts for half of the circuit.
I have included a radio wiring diagram, connector end view and expected pinout voltage, as well as a factory diagnostic troubleshooting flowchart for your vehicle's radio in the diagrams down below. Please go through them and get back to us with what you find out.

I cut a zip tie off some wires and nicked one it blow the dome fuse and would not crank. I replaced the fuse then the car cranked. Makes no sense. Then checked all others fuses and they are good. And still getting no where what could be the problem?

Where was the wiring harness located that was damaged? Also, have you checked fuses both in the vehicle as well as under the hood? I attached two pics below showing the fuses for the components related as well as the horn relay.

Even if you checked the fuses and they are good, I need you to check to see if there is power to the fuse. Additionally, check the horn relay if power is good at the horn fuse.

I have a 1990 toyota corolla and my radio dont work. and i wanted to know how i can take it out.

You have to remove the trim first. The IP trim first and then radio trim.

Remove lower trim using a 10mm socket, bolts are covered with plastic covers and there is one behind speaker.
