While replacing the headlight bulb, something sparked, the radio stopped working and the turn signals are not working properly?

My husband was changing my headlight bulb and while doing so something sparked and my radio quit, my blinkers work but make no noise. The radio will still light up but there is no sound! If you leave the fuse in for the radio, it makes a loud popping sound constantly. Please help.

Hello,

There are a total of 4 fuses to check.
All are located in the instrument panel fuse block.
Your problem sounds like the audio amplifier is no longer powering up.
This is controlled by fuse F31DA(30A).

How to check a fuse:

Thanks. I'm getting ready to go out and check the fuses now. I had checked the fuses before but not the one you mentioned. Thanks again, I'll let you know how it goes. Fingers crossed! :)

Hello,

Did you reinsert the fuses properly from where you took them out?
See image 2 below I marked the fuses which supply the infotainment system, marked in yellow. Note that not all fuses might be present, depending on the vehicle's equipment level.

A good source of fuse information:
https://fuse-box.info/chevrolet/chevrolet-equinox-2010-2017-fuses-and-relay

With display I assume you are talking about the info/navigation display?
Fuse F15DA (10A) supplies power to this module
Also while going over the wiring diagrams, I found another fuse, fuse F9DA (20A).
I would think that this is the fuse which you had checked in the beginning, see image below.

If all fuses are inserted where they should be, and none have blown, I would suggest carrying out a battery reset. This entails disconnecting the battery at the negative terminal and leaving it disconnected for several minutes. Then reconnect the terminal, ensuring that it is tightened properly.

How to:

This procedure is for the battery monitor but also applies for a reset.
