Radiator fans do not turn on at all unless I unplug the ECT sensor and then they only run for four seconds?

So, I bought another ECT sensor hoping that it would fix it. Now I do have the condenser off of it and so there's no A/C in the vehicle right now but this shouldn't stop the radiator fans from coming on. Further, for everything to come on after unplugging the ECT means the wiring and the relays are good. Also, I hear them click when the fans do come on for a few seconds after unplugging the ECT. What could I be missing except a new computer?

Hi,

I need you to check the ground for me. It is located under the hood and below the coolant reservoir. See pic 1. It is g101 in the pic.

Check to make sure the connection is clean, tight, and not corroded. Also, closely inspect the wiring to it for possible damage.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
