Radiator fan is not working

The radiator fan is not working. Without knowing this was the case I had driven some distance(4 km) when the coolant light was working. Would that have could damage to the engine?

The radiator fan is not needed when the vehicle is moving. Natural air flow is more than sufficient until you get down to perhaps 20 - 25 mph or you're stopped in traffic. Even then, it will take a minute or two for the engine to really overheat.
