Radiator change over

my husband is changing my radiator, but he was told he will need to change the automatic transmission fluid as well as it is part of the radiator is this correct? He has put in the new raditator already and is about to hook it all up again, I am just worried about what he mate has told him.

The two metal lines to radiator are fro trans fluoid cooling NOT necessary to change ATF check and replace any that may have been spilled. If trans fluid was mixing with coolant and that is need for replacement then yes change ATF
