Question about the timing chains?

I've changed the timing chains and the guides and the tensioners on the 4.7 overhead cam V8 and I lined up the on the change it has the different color links I lined them up but after I rotated it to see when it you know I have a couple of turns by hand to see if it came back up to 12 and 6 and all that the little colored links were not in the right place do they move around as it turns or have I messed up somewhere.

Yep, this is normal, once the marks are lined up and you turn the engine, they will not line up again. Here are the timing chain marks so we can be on the same page. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.
