My girlfriend gave me a jump Monday but she didn't know that her cables were on wrong. so I put mine on my truck and it sparked, but I was able to drive Tuesday morning but later that night it wouldn't crank. so i am not sure what is going on with it.

If the vehicle started and ran after having the cables crossed I doubt that any damage was done at that point because it would not have started at all. You could have either a bad battery or a bad connection at the battery. I would have the battery and charging system tested at this point to verify what you’ve got going on.
