I can't seem to find the location of my purge valve canister. Check engine code said it needs to be replaced.

Hello, I'm Danny.
If you are looking for the evap canister it is located behind the plastic splash shield near the left rear tire. Do you happen the know the check engine light code? That would help me figure what you need to have repaired. Picture of evap canister attached below. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thank you so much. The code was p4500. Thought it was a gas cap. Took it to AutoZone and the reader specified purge valve. Do you think it could still just be the gas cap?

Hello again.
There is no such code as P4500. Yes, if the gas cap is loose it will set off the check engine light as a small leak detected in the evap system. It's usually a good idea after refueling to tighten the cap an additional 3 clicks after it feels tight to prevent the light from coming on. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
