Purge valve location

I cannot locate the purge valve on my pickup.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

You have to remove the right front wheel to access it. Here are the directions for removal and replacement. The attached pictures correlate with these directions.

PROCEDURES
EVAPORATIVE EMISSION (EVAP) CANISTER PURGE VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Lift the vehicle.
2. Remove right front tire and wheel assembly.

3. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge valve harness connector.

4. Disconnect the purge pipe from the EVAP canister purge valve.

Picture 3

5. Remove the purge valve nut and the purge valve mounting bracket.
6. Remove the purge valve from the purge valve mounting bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install purge valve on to the purge valve mounting bracket.

2. Install the purge valve mounting bracket and the attaching nut.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the purge valve mounting bracket attaching nut to 8 N.M (71 lb in).

3. Slide the purge valve bracket on to the mounting stud.

Tighten
Tighten the purge valve mounting nut to 8 N.M (71 lb in).

4. Connect the purge pipe to the EVAP canister purge valve.

5. Connect the EVAP canister purge valve harness connector.
6. Reinstall right front wheel and tire assembly.
7. Lower vehicle.

According to the directions, you shouldn't need to remove the inner fender. It's been a long time since I did one of these. I don't remember having to remove it.

Thanks Joe I found the purge valve. I had to remove the tire and inner wheel well on the passenger side.

You are very welcome. For the life of me, I could not remember removing the inner fender. Anything to make the job a bit more difficult. LOL
