Pulling a trailer

Can my bumper be used to pull a small trailer (4X8) or do I need to install a hitch. The bumper says it has a 3200 lb. limit.

Does the trailer have a hitch on it? How were you planning to hook the trailer to the bumper? I'd use a hitch with a ball on the bumper.
