program keys?

i am trying to program 2 keys and there are no keys stored. how do i do that using the FORScan software on my computer?

Hello, here is how to program keys into the truck:

1. Go to the Service Functions tab (wrench icon).
2. Select PATS Programming (Passive Anti-Theft System).
3. Click Start on the PATS programming function.
4. FORScan will prompt for security access.
5. This usually takes 10-12 minutes.
6. Select Erase All Keys
7.FORScan will ask you to insert the first new key and turn the ignition ON
8. Switch OFF, insert the second new key, and turn ignition ON

First you will need the extended license for FORScan. Then with 2 cut keys you follow the on screen directions in FORScan for the PATS system. This video shows it better than I can explain it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72kRKVV0aJ0
