Yes.

You need to have the transmission checked. That is where the problem lies. See someone different.

It could be many things... bad or worn clutches, problems in the valve body, low pressure, low fluid... You need to have it driven by a trained tech.

I was advised to take off the catalyst from the muffler system and replace it with a straight pipe. Since that was done the vehicle has more power. It has a faster take off and so far the problem is no more but I will have to wait a while because the problem did not always occur. I was told that because of our climate, the catalyst gets blocked and will overheat causing the vehicle to loose power. Will keep you updated.

That is true, a plugged catalytic converter will cause a loss of power. However, it will NOT cause the vehicle to rev like it is in neutral when it is actually in gear. Let me know how things go for you.
