I need to replace the front seal on my transmission but I cannot seem to get the torque converter to come out of the transmission, it seems stuck.

The seals and pump hub can cause them to stick in pretty hard. Generally I will rotate the converter and pull straight out. Sometimes it helps to rotate the converter in an orbit and not just on the shaft. That can free the drive collar from a sticking pump.
If it has gotten jammed in real hard you may also want to check for any damage to the pump.
